Pilot Plant Coordinator

What does a typical day look like?
These are your main tasks:
- Production & Scale-up: Managing the upscale process (from lab to plant), executing comprehensive production and operations planning, and overseeing daily production and quality management.
- EH&S & Compliance: Managing site EH&S activities to comply with all company requirements and statutory legislation. Responsible for environmental reporting, waste management, executing occupational risk assessments, and handling audit management.
- Trzebinia Site Management: Acting as the primary responsible person for the Trzebinia site in relation to local law, overseeing building & equipment maintenance, and executing Management of Change (MoC) reporting for operations.
- Procurement & SAP Operations: Forecasting and purchasing raw materials, managing local indirect vendors, and coordinating/approving orders for equipment, chemicals, and office supplies.
Working actively within the SAP system to support these operational and procurement processes.
- Team Administration: Managing administrative tasks for operational employees (including hardware allocation, tracking statistics, vacations, sick leaves, and organizing trainings).
What is required to be successful in this role?
(Education & Experience):
- Knowledge of local Polish law and EH&S statutory legislation applicable specifically to the Trzebinia site operations.
- Capability to act as the formal site representative during local authority inspections and environmental audits.
Functional Competencies:
- Process & Production Optimization: Proficiency in production planning, resource forecasting, and quality management execution.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Effective coordination of vendors, maintenance teams, and operational staff.
- Scale-up & Production: Strong understanding of moving processes from lab-scale to plant-scale.
- Computer & IT Proficiency: Excellent computer skills, including advanced operation of the MS Office suite.
- System Operations: Ability to navigate and work effectively with ERP systems (SAP) for daily operations and procurement.
- Organization & Safety: Strong focus on EH&S compliance, risk assessment, and multitasking across operational and administrative duties.
Education & Experience:
- Technical or Engineering degree (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related).
- Min. 3 years experience in a manufacturing, pilot plant, or operations coordination role.
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office is required; experience with SAP is highly desirable / nice- to-have).
- Multiple Languages skills: Fluent Polish and English.
