Job summary

Vestas group in Szczecin seeks a Work Experience Specialist to own end-to-end assembly process design within Nacelle Components Process Engineering, collaborating with R&D and Manufacturing from concept to serial production.

You will develop robust manufacturing processes, PFMEA, Control Plans, and support prototypes and production validation while driving continuous improvement for manufacturability and quality across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 5 years experience in manufacturing/process engineering or industrialization; strong candidates with 3–4 years may be considered.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, process validation and documentation.
• Experience with DFMA/DFM and translating requirements to manufacturable solutions.
• Experience with Windchill/Creo and change management processes.

PE Nacelle Components hold end-to-end (E2E) responsibility for the performance and integration of all assembly steps within the Components area in Nacelle Segment. This includes ensuring that each process step functions effectively on its own, while also connecting seamlessly with upstream and downstream processes as well as multi-step system interfaces such as electrical connections, wire harnessing, hydraulics, and other cross-disciplinary technical elements. The organization ensures that no assembly step operates in isolation-every step must align technically, procedurally, and operationally with the overall product and manufacturing flow.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Design for Assembly (DfA) implementation within your assigned process step, from early product development through industrialization and serial production
• Develop, implement and continuously improve robust manufacturing processes, including process flows, layouts, work instructions, tooling, line balancing, takt time and process parameters
• Prepare and maintain key process deliverables, including PFMEA, Control Plans and process documentation, ensuring quality, compliance and manufacturing readiness throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Process Leads from early product development, contributing to DFMEA and influencing product designs to ensure manufacturability and effective DfA solutions
• Support prototype builds, production validation and factory implementation, identifying process risks early and translating learnings into effective process improvements
• Own issue resolution within the assigned process step, including root cause analysis, containment, corrective actions and handling of non-conformities
• Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize processes, support operational readiness and support continuous improvement and standardization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
• Relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering or industrialization, ideally around 5 years; strong candidates with approximately 3 to 4 years of relevant experience may also be considered
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, production systems and industrialization
• Practical experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, process validation and manufacturing process documentation
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA/DfA) and translating product requirements into manufacturable process solutions
• Experience supporting prototype builds, New Product Introduction (NPI) or production ramp-up activities as well as experience in Windchill / Creo and exposure to change management processes
• Experience within automotive, aviation, heavy manufacturing/engineering, medical manufacturing or wind energy
• Solid process ownership, with the ability to take responsibility for performance, quality, safety and cost within an assigned assembly or manufacturing process step
• Solid process-design capabilities, including the ability to develop efficient process flows, layouts, work methods and tooling solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process risks and drive root cause analysis, containment and corrective actions
• Ability to assess product designs from a DfA and manufacturability perspective and develop practical, scalable assembly solutions
• Solid collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with R&D, Process Leads, Quality, Manufacturing and other cross-functional stakeholders
• Structured and quality-focused approach to process documentation, validation, implementation and continuous improvement
• Ability to combine practical shop-floor engagement with structured engineering work in a global manufacturing environment
