Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Site Manager to coordinate offshore service campaigns and oversee day-to-day execution within Global Offshore. The role involves coordinating personnel, logistics, documentation, and resources to deliver safe, efficient project outcomes.

You will lead operational performance, manage planning for service orders, and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle, travel up to 90 days per year, with primary location in Szczecin (PL) or Aarhus/Warrington as needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in wind industry preferred.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and SAP; strong IT literacy; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate offshore campaign execution with personnel, tools, materials, and documentation; act as primary operational interface with offshore teams and Project Manager.
• Provide operational leadership by setting safety, quality, planning, and execution expectations; coach and follow up to ensure accountability.
• Guide planning and lifecycle management of service orders; ensure work scopes are prepared, monitored, executed, and closed on time.
• Coordinate vessels, resources, tools, spare parts, and materials; support mobilization planning and resolve logistics constraints.
• Oversee project documentation, plans, compliance, and vessel mobilization/demobilization with the Project Manager.

Region NCE & Global Offshore > Global Offshore > Offshore Aftersales and Upgrades

The Aftersales & Upgrades department is responsible for end-to-end delivery of offshore service campaigns and aftersales projects across Global Offshore. You will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness and supporting the day-to-day execution of offshore service campaigns within a multidisciplinary organization. You will coordinate operational excellence by coordinating people, logistics, tools, documentation, and resources, enabling safe and efficient project delivery for our customers.

The department is part of the Offshore Service organization in the Vestas NCE Region. Here you become part of a committed team of >500 colleagues who work daily delivering Offshore Services to our trusted customers. This includes everything from strategy work, operational improvement, Health & Safety, technical case handling to delivering the services on the wind turbines offshore.

Responsibilities

• Operational Execution & Resource Coordination: Coordinate offshore campaign execution by ensuring teams have the required personnel, tools, materials, documentation, qualifications, and training. Act as the primary operational interface between offshore execution teams, support functions, and the Project Manager
• Leadership & Performance Management: Provide operational leadership by setting clear expectations for safety, quality, planning, and execution. Promote a culture of accountability through effective communication, coaching, and follow-up
• Technical & Service Order Planning: Guide the operational planning and lifecycle management of service orders, ensuring work scopes are prepared, monitored, executed, and closed accurately and on time to support efficient project delivery
• Asset & Logistics Management: Coordinate vessels, resources, tools, spare parts, and materials to ensure operational readiness and efficient project execution. Support mobilization planning and resolve logistical constraints throughout project delivery
• Documentation, Compliance & Mobilization: Ensure project documentation, operational plans, and compliance requirements are accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. In alignment with the Project Manager, oversee vessel mobilization and demobilization activities

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Previous experience working within the wind industry
• Advanced knowledge of construction/service management processes, models and methods as well as process safety standards and local legislation
• Ability to obtain and hold GWO and country specific Construction Medical check certification
• Proficient in Office 365 and SAP, with solid IT literacy
• Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written

Additional Information

Your primary work location will beAarhus (DK) but could also be in Warrington (UK) or Szczecin (PL).

You should expect some travel activity, approximately 90 days per year.
