Job summary

EPAM is seeking a Payments Architect in Poland to lead architecture design and governance for large-scale payments and digital banking initiatives. You will craft target state architectures and high-level designs, guiding development teams across multiple workstreams in a regulatory-conscious program.

You will drive REST API development, microservices architecture, SOA and event-driven integration, ensuring compliance with PSD2, GDPR and omni-channel goals. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution or Payments Architect in large-scale digital programs.
• Strong banking architecture background including payment systems and digital channels.
• Expertise in RESTful API design, microservices, SOA and eventing technologies.
• Understanding of batch integration patterns and enterprise integration.
• Experience aligning architectural decisions with regulatory standards.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and governance for payments and digital banking initiatives.
• Create target state architectures and high-level designs for multi-workstream programs.
• Provide architectural guidance to development teams across projects.
• Present options, negotiate trade-offs, and secure stakeholder alignment.
