Job description

Posted Monday, August 3, 2026 at 10:00 PM

At MoneyGram, we're combining the strength of a trusted global brand with the agility of a tech-forward, growth driven culture. With 80+ years of experience and a presence in more than 200 countries and territories, we've built a foundation of stability and trust to help millions of people around the world send funds quickly, securely, and affordably.

We're looking for bold thinkers, builders, technologists, and sellers who want real ownership of their work, thrive in collaborative environments, and are energized by solving complex challenges. Here, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact - fast.

If you're eager to shape the future of cross-border payments and financial services, join us as we transform how the world moves money.

About the Team

The Card & Alternative Payments team within the Online Division manages MoneyGram's strategic relationships with the card networks, acquiring banks, and alternative payment providers that make MGO work. We are a lean, high-impact team operating at the crossroads of relationship management, payments operations, and business performance — sitting close to the product and ensuring our partners are engaged, accountable, and actively contributing to MoneyGram's revenue growth and cost competitiveness.

Role Overview

This is a results-oriented role with a clear mandate: drive revenue growth and cost savings through deep knowledge and management of MoneyGram's payment partnerships. As a Payments Partnership Manager, you will own the day-to-day relationships with key payment partners — card networks, acquiring processors, and alternative payment providers — and use that proximity to surface opportunities that improve performance, lower processing costs, and expand payment choice for MGO customers and digital payment use cases.

You will build genuine expertise in how each partnership operates — the economics, the SLAs, the integration constraints, and the strategic roadmap — and translate that knowledge into tangible outcomes. This is not a passive account management role. We expect you to identify opportunities that others miss, bring them forward with supporting rationale, and work cross-functionally to turn them into results.

You are ambitious, self-starting, and motivated to deliver. You manage your partner portfolio independently, communicate proactively across time zones, and hold yourself to a high standard without requiring day-to-day oversight. This role is remote based and reports into leadership based in Pacific Time (US).

What You Will Do
Day-to-Day Partner Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of payment partners — card networks, acquiring processors, and alternative payment providers — maintaining strong, productive, and commercially focused working relationships.
  • Own the rhythm of partner engagement: schedule and run regular check‑ins, prepare agendas, track action items, and ensure commitments are met on both sides.
  • Build relationships at the working and mid‑management level within partner organizations, earning trust through consistent follow‑through and clear communication.
  • Represent MoneyGram professionally and positively in all partner interactions, reinforcing our reputation as a reliable, growth‑oriented partner.
Revenue Growth & Cost Savings
  • Apply deep knowledge of each partnership — economics, contract terms, processing flows, and partner capabilities — to identify and execute opportunities that drive revenue growth and reduce costs for MoneyGram.
  • Monitor partner performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs — including authorization rates, processing uptime, and settlement timeliness — and turn performance gaps into improvement initiatives with quantifiable outcomes.
  • Develop and present business cases for partnership changes, renegotiations, or enhancements, clearly articulating the revenue or cost impact and path to realization.
  • Proactively benchmark partners against market alternatives and flag where MoneyGram may be leaving value on the table.
  • Support the development of joint business plans with key partners, tracking progress against growth and efficiency objectives.
Performance Management & Reporting
  • Prepare and present partner performance summaries for internal reviews, translating data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to ensure the right data is surfaced in performance dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Investigate performance variances — authorization failures, cost anomalies, settlement discrepancies — and drive remediation with urgency.
New Partner Onboarding & Expansion
  • Support the onboarding of new payment partners, coordinating with Product, Technology, Compliance, and Finance to ensure smooth integration and go‑live.
  • Assist with due diligence processes for new relationships, helping compile required materials and keeping timelines on track.
  • Identify and surface new partnership opportunities that could enhance MoneyGram's payment offering or reduce cost, bringing ideas forward with supporting rationale.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the internal voice of your partner portfolio — keeping Product, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Legal informed of partner developments, commitments, and risks.
  • Support contract and SLA management in partnership with Legal and senior team members; flag deviations or renewal milestones proactively.
  • Contribute to team projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives as they arise.
What We Are Looking For
Required
  • 4+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, partner management, or a client-facing role within financial services, fintech, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to create revenue growth and/or cost savings through enhanced payments partnerships — you can point to specific outcomes you drove, not just relationships you managed.
  • Track record of utilizing deep knowledge of your business to identify opportunities through partnerships — you understand how the economics and operations connect, and you use that understanding to find value.
  • A natural relationship-builder: personable, professional, and able to earn trust with external partners and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Clear, confident communicator — both in writing and verbally — with the ability to tailor your message for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Self‑starter who manages their own workload, meets deadlines independently, and proactively surfaces opportunities and issues without waiting to be asked.
  • Commercially driven: motivated to find deals, improvements, and efficiencies that deliver measurable value to the business.
  • Comfortable working across multiple partner relationships and workstreams simultaneously in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for partner reporting, business cases, and performance presentations.
Preferred
  • Experience in or strong familiarity with the card payments ecosystem — card networks (Visa, Mastercard), acquiring processors, or alternative payment providers (ACH, open banking, digital wallets).
  • Understanding of payment flow economics: authorization, settlement, interchange, and how partner terms translate to unit cost.
  • Exposure to KPI/SLA management and performance negotiation in a vendor or partner context.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Product, Technology, Compliance, and Finance to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Background in digital financial services, remittances, or e‑commerce payments.
  • Experience managing relationships across significant time zone differences in a global or distributed team structure.
What We Offer
  • A results‑oriented role with clear impact: the growth and savings you generate will be visible and recognized.
  • Deep exposure to global payment networks, card schemes, and alternative payment technologies shaping the future of cross‑border money movement.
  • A small team where strong performance creates real career growth opportunities.
  • Flexible working model with competitive compensation and benefits aligned to the Polish market.
  • A company with a clear mission: making it easier, faster, and more affordable for people to move money across borders.
