Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Poznań seeks a skilled Packet Core Engineer to support end-to-end delivery of Packet Core solutions. You will deploy, integrate, validate, migrate, and upgrade network elements, working with architects, project managers, customers and support teams to ensure reliable delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of 4G/5G Core networks, telecom protocols, Linux environments and hands-on testing and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with Packet Core deployment, integration, or operations in telecom environments.
• Strong knowledge of 4G/5G Core Networks and Packet Core technologies, including GGSN, SGSN, PGW, SGW, MME, AMF, SMF, and UPF.
• Understanding of telecom protocols, network architectures, and 3GPP standards.
• Experience with software installation, configuration, testing, migration, and upgrade activities.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and incident management experience.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and telecom delivery processes.
• Experience working with technical documentation, MOPs, ATPs, integration procedures, and software lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of ticketing and support processes, including collaboration with engineering and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, integrate, and configure Packet Core network elements.
• Prepare and validate implementation procedures, templates, and technical documentation.
• Execute system, functional, and acceptance tests.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support incident resolution.
• Perform software upgrades, migration, and feature activation activities.
• Collaborate with project, customer, and support teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, and technical documentation.
