Job summary

Trading212 is hiring an Operations Manager to build the operational infrastructure behind recruiting and scale the Talent function. You will report to the Head of Operations, Talent, as the second person in the function, with broad ownership across systems, processes, and reporting.

This is not a traditional recruiting role: it rewards shaping undefined environments, turning ambiguity into practical solutions, and advancing data-driven hiring.

Responsibilities

• Own our ATS, recruiting tools, and wider recruiting infrastructure.
• Map existing workflows, identify gaps, and build more effective processes.
• Identify repetitive or manual work and implement scalable solutions.
• Build dashboards and reporting covering funnel performance, hiring velocity, bottlenecks, and recruiter performance.
• Ensure recruiting data is accurate, structured, and usable for decision-making.
• Help design and operationalize scalable hiring initiatives.
• Ensure the operational candidate journey is consistent, efficient, and high quality.
• Work across Talent, hiring managers, People, and other functions to ensure processes work in practice.
• Proactively identify what is broken, what can be improved and what should be built next.

The role

We are hiring an Operations Manager to build the operational infrastructure behind recruiting and make the Talent function scalable, measurable, and well-run. You will report directly to the Head of Operations, Talent, as the second person in the function, with broad ownership across systems, processes, and reporting. This is not a traditional recruiting coordinator position — it is suited to an early-career professional who can enter an undefined environment, work out what is missing, and turn ambiguity into practical solutions. Talent or Recruitment Operations experience is not required; the context can be learned.

What you’ll do

The role will have broad ownership across Talent Operations, including:

• Help own our ATS, recruiting tools, and wider recruiting infrastructure.

• Map existing workflows, identify gaps, and build more effective processes.

• Identify repetitive or manual work and implement scalable solutions.

• Build dashboards and reporting covering funnel performance, hiring velocity, bottlenecks, and recruiter performance.

• Ensure recruiting data is accurate, structured, and usable for decision-making.

• Help design and operationalize scalable hiring initiatives.

• Ensure the operational candidate journey is consistent, efficient, and high quality.

• Work across Talent, hiring managers, People, and other functions to ensure processes work in practice.

• Proactively identify what is broken, what can be improved and what should be built next.

The person will manage several workstreams simultaneously and will be expected to make sensible prioritization decisions without waiting for every task to be fully defined.

What you need to have

• A strong academic foundation in a quantitative discipline.

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.

• Evidence of independently owning projects from problem definition through implementation.

• The ability to operate effectively with limited direction.

• Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the wider objective.

• Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders.

• A clear bias towards action.

• An interest in systems, processes, automation and data.

• A strong background in SQL, Python or workflow automation is a plus.
