Job summary

OpenClaw Foundation is seeking exceptional Members of Technical Staff to maintain, build, and steward the OpenClaw ecosystem. This role blends open-source maintenance with product engineering to design and evolve core platform components while supporting a global contributor community.

You will help ship production code, guide architectural choices, and improve developer experience, all while enabling an entire community to contribute and own the platform's future.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern software development practices.
• Experience building and maintaining production systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, backend systems, or developer platforms.
• Experience working with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Excellent technical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments.
• Passion for open source and developer ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Build Core OpenClaw technology across the ecosystem.
• Maintain OpenClaw repositories and review community contributions.
• Collaborate with developers and contributors; mentor and support.
• Advance agent infrastructure and interoperability standards development.
• Improve developer experience through tooling, APIs, docs, and workflows.
• Support Foundation research and prototype evaluation; translate findings into production-ready systems.
