Job summary

OpenRouter is hiring two Applied AI Engineers to build internal agentic tooling that runs OpenRouter, one focused on support and one on go-to-market. The roles share the same approach, deepening the use of internal tools over external options.

You'll own end-to-end automation workflows, integrate with existing company systems, and ensure reliability with guardrails and monitoring, while proving impact with data and measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with ticketing, CRM, or customer-facing workflows to identify automations.
• Experience building internal tooling, deflecting support, and accelerating GTM operations.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in production LLM/agentic systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build internal agentic workflows end-to-end from prototype to production.
• Integrate systems with company tools and replace where sensible.
• Own reliability: evals, guardrails, monitoring for trustworthy automation.
• Drive measurable impact: deflect support, accelerate GTM, reduce toil.
• Collaborate with support, GTM and engineering to find high-leverage workflows.
• Iterate on real usage: ship, measure, improve.
