Job summary

Ocean Winds is seeking a Power System Lead Engineer to oversee the electrical power system performance, integration, and grid compliance for an offshore wind farm during late-stage design through energization. You will coordinate with WTGs, cables, substations, and the grid operator to ensure a safe, compliant, and reliable connection to the transmission network.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience in electrical engineering or renewables, strong knowledge of grid codes, and proficiency

Qualifications

Master or PhD in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience in power systems studies, electrical system integration, or grid compliance.
Knowledge of grid codes and TSO requirements.

Responsibilities

Oversee completion and technical acceptance of power system studies for construction, commissioning, and grid compliance.
Review and challenge network models and study assumptions against design and data.
Coordinate collection and verification of technical parameters and simulations from WTG, cables, substations, and contractors.
Review study results: load-flow, short-circuit, voltage, dynamic performance, harmonics, protection coordination, and switching overvoltage.
