Job summary

Wood Thilsted is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the LV design package for offshore wind foundations. You will specify LV components, cable routes, and interfaces with the tower, delivering reports and ensuring timely, high-quality outputs across concept to fabrication stages.

You will work in an international environment, collaborating with engineers across Europe and Asia, with opportunities for travel and postings.

Qualifications

2–3 years experience in designing and specifying LV systems and components.
Demonstrate initiative and willingness to exceed expectations.
Excellent English communication with colleagues, clients, consultants, and contractors.
Pro-active in learning and collaboration in an international environment.
Innovative, solution-oriented mindset with courage to tackle challenges.
Team player with good organizational skills to manage multiple project aspects.
Excellent numeracy, literacy, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

Design an LV system and interfaces with the tower, specifying equipment like junction boxes and cabling.
Create and deliver LV design reports, e.g., illumination, power, and lightning protection studies.
Bonding and earthing design across the structural design and related deliverables.
Interface with Secondary structures engineering team for LV equipment placement and access.
Produce cable schedules and determine optimal cable routing, interfacing with cable tray suppliers.
Ensure LV scopes are delivered on time, high quality, and within budget.
Interact with client, HV cable supplier, and Wood Thilsted team to define input parameters.
Quality check of the team’s work.
Determine installation, testing, and commissioning procedures and support during fabrication.
