Job summary

Duco is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the evolution of our observability capabilities. You will design and drive observability systems, build dashboards, and develop tooling to accelerate developer productivity.

You will standardise delivery practices, improve automation across the SDLC, and ensure systems are monitored, observable, and resilient. This hands-on role involves collaborating with engineering teams, guiding best practices, and taking ownership of mission-critical

Qualifications

5+ years in DevOps/Platform/Build Eng roles with large-scale CI/CD.
Proven observability design experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and OpenTelemetry.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go) for automation.
Experience designing/operating production CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Knowledge of modern build/packaging (Docker, caching, artifact management).
Experience in cross-functional initiatives and establishing best practices.

Responsibilities

Own observability architecture and implement logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
Lead SLO-based operations, dashboards, and incident response frameworks.
Build internal observability tooling and self-service monitoring capabilities.
Manage on-call duties and drive remediation through root cause analysis.
Contribute to reliable delivery pipelines and reusable templates.
Ensure observability integrates with Kubernetes and cloud services.
Mentor teams and standardise instrumentation practices.
