Job summary

Outokumpu Chrome Oy in Katowice is looking for an experienced network engineer to design, implement and maintain enterprise network solutions. You will translate business requirements into secure, scalable architectures, plan capacity, and lead network implementations with project teams, while supporting security initiatives and automation efforts.

Collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams is essential, with a hybrid work model (2 on-site days per week).

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking and LAN/WAN/WLAN.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba Switches and ClearPass.
• Familiar with network monitoring tools and automation basics.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into secure and scalable network solutions.
• Design and maintain high- and low-level network architecture documentation.
• Plan network capacity and define implementation approaches with business continuity and security in mind.
• Lead and coordinate network implementations with project teams.
• Support network security initiatives with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
• Develop operational documentation and handover to NOC.
• Configure and manage networking tools, driving automation and APIs.

What you will do:

• Translate business requirements into secure and scalable network solutions.
• Design and maintain high- and low-level network architecture documentation.
• Plan network capacity and define implementation approaches, considering business continuity, security, and operational needs.
• Lead and coordinate network implementations with project teams.
• Support network security initiatives in collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
• Develop operational documentation and ensure a smooth handover to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Configure and manage networking tools, while driving automation, scripting, APIs, and AI use cases.

What you bring:

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba Switches, and ClearPass.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure tooling is an advantage.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Salary range in Poland: 13,800 - 17,300 zl. gross.
