Astreya Consultancy Ireland Limited, Spółka z o.o. Branch in Poland is seeking a Network Engineer I to support the design, deployment and maintenance of our global network.

The role requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and covers routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints and data center components. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, troubleshoot outages, and assist with CDN and internet peering strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from college or university and 3–4 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, mail, virtual machines and software applications.
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.
• Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain network hosts and services like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints.
• Perform network maintenance/upgrades (often during normal hours, sometimes evenings or weekends).
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages.
• Support global production and corporate network including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and CDN infrastructure.
• Assist with vendor switches on various servers dealing with hardware/software issues.
• Assist with traffic and queries raised by ISPs/Partners.
• Help with incidents such as input errors, CRC, RMAs, etc.
• Work with ISPs/vendors to fix network issues.
• Other duties as required.
