Job summary

Be | Shaping the Future Poland is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the Campus WAN engineers and own the RUN environment, including Cisco ASR/ISR configuration and troubleshooting. You will drive incident leadership, change, release, and problem management, while ensuring stable, secure network operations.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, network design, documentation, and strong collaboration with nearshore teams. A 24/7 on-call rotation and ongoing optimization are expected.

Qualifications

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP Enterprise certification or equivalent.

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the technical leadership and coordination of Network Engineers within the Campus WAN product area. The role includes operational responsibility for the RUN environment, covering configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco ASR and ISR routers, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and circuit provisioning.

Key responsibilities include acting as Technical Lead during major incidents, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and managing Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management processes. The role also covers Event, Availability, Capacity, Vulnerability, and CMDB Management to ensure a stable and secure network environment.

• Management and support of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and circuit provisioning activities
• Quality assurance of network configurations, including analysis and troubleshooting in accordance with client operational processes
• Implementation of planned network changes following established client change management procedures
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation in accordance with client documentation standards
• Technical Lead for Major Incidents, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Management of Change, Release, Incident, and Problem processes
• Event, Availability, Capacity, Vulnerability, and CMDB Management

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification (or equivalent)
• Strong experience with Cisco ASR and ISR routing platforms
• In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and WAN technologies
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring of teams, including nearshore teams
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills in enterprise WAN environments

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL knowledge and experience
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible and Python
• Experience with CheckMK monitoring solutions
• German language skills are an advantage
• Knowledge of Capacity, Vulnerability, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes
