Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Kraków, Poland, is seeking an Engineer - Networking to join the Network Operations team. The role focuses on incident resolution, vulnerability remediation and network performance improvements, with a hybrid work model requiring two days in the office.

You will work with Cisco/Arista infrastructure, Nexus, Python, and SolarWinds NCM while coordinating with senior engineers on complex global projects and ensuring disaster recovery configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a complex, global engineering and manufacturing organization.
• High level of understanding in the network, telecom and firewall fields.
• Experience in project managing small projects.
• Experience delivering highly complex, global programs and projects.
• Open to travel once or twice a year for projects or team building sessions.
• 3+ years' experience hands-on support and troubleshooting of networks.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents out of the network operations ticketing queue.
• Work through vulnerability remediations.
• Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
• Support network monitoring and performance optimization.
• Help with the response to priority incidents.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on network improvement projects.
• Ensuring redundancy and disaster recovery configurations are in place, coaching the team where needed.
• Perform any other related tasks prioritized by the Network Services Manager.
