Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Network Engineer in Core Infrastructure Engineering to design, secure, operate, and automate our global network and data-center infrastructure. You will work on building data centers end-to-end and ensuring robust connectivity for a leading cryptocurrency exchange.

We value hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto PAN-OS), data-center hardware, switching and routing, cloud networking, and IaC tooling.

Qualifications

2+ years of network engineering with a security-minded approach.
Hands-on with Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS/Panorama).
Experience with data-center / physical infra (rack, cabling, power).
Knowledge of switching/routing (OSPF, BGP, ECMP, PBR).
Exposure to public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid connectivity.
Familiarity with IaC/automation (Terraform, Ansible) and a code-forward mindset.
Passport and ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Design and build data centers end-to-end.
Deliver connectivity circuits, dark fiber, and DIA; coordinate carriers.
Stand up and evolve data-center fabrics.
Design, implement, and defend a zero-trust network.
Implement enterprise network access controls.
Partner with Engineering and IT Security to ensure secure ship/operation.
Serve as first responder to infrastructure requests and incidents.
Monitor and maintain physical infrastructure, cloud environments, and remote sites.
Develop automation tooling and IaC pipelines.
