Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Kraków to design, implement, and automate our global network infrastructure. You will lead architecture from concept through deployment, improving reliability and security across our network.

You will design scalable BGP routing, work with data center fabrics like CLOS, and create automation templates using Python, Ansible, and Jinja2. Join a team driving innovation and performance at scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
Extensive IP network design experience.
Experience with scalable BGP routing architectures.
Knowledge of data center fabrics (CLOS) and overlay tech (VXLAN/EVPN).
Experience managing multi-vendor environments (Juniper, Cisco).
Automation experience with Python, Ansible, and Jinja2.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and automate a global network infrastructure.
Develop and maintain core network configuration templates using Jinja2.
Implement new hardware platforms and features within the automation framework.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data models and requirements.
Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and expert-level analysis of complex network issues.
Create and maintain clear documentation and procedures.
