Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Head of Exchange Infrastructure to own the layer that powers all Kraken products, including the matching engine, core infrastructure, custody, algo engine and API engine. You will lead a small, senior team of product managers and collaborate with an engineering manager to drive a unified exchange stack.

You will define a long-term roadmap, set high bar for product craft, and ensure low latency, high throughput and strong reliability across US derivatives and spot markets.

Qualifications

• Senior product leader with experience in exchange, trading, or high-performance platforms.
• Experience managing and developing product managers on a senior team.
• Ability to write specs and roadmaps, and own end-to-end delivery.
• Strong understanding of matching engine and market data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the exchange layer (matching engine, core infra, custody, algo and API engines).
• Lead and grow a team of four to five product managers and set the bar for product craft.
• Consolidate multiple matching engines into one platform, starting with US derivatives and expanding to others.
• Define success metrics (latency, throughput, uptime, resiliency) and drive teams to meet them.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to sequence migration without disrupting live markets.
