Job summary

ALTEN Polska in Kraków seeks a Mechanical/Automation Engineer to design and develop test benches, cooling and hydraulic systems, and to prepare technical documentation with GD&T. You will collaborate with suppliers and participate in installation, commissioning, and verification at client sites across Poland and Europe.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–4 years of experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Expect up to 40% travel within Poland and Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation and Robotics, or related field.
• 3-4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within Poland and Europe.
• Experience in machine design and preparation of technical documentation, including GD&T where applicable.
• Knowledge of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks /AutoCAD.
• Experience in the design of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare P&ID documentation.
• Hands-on experience in equipment installation and commissioning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of test bench components, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and HVAC systems (P&ID, 3D modeling, 2D drawings).
• Manufacturing responsibility of designed components in cooperation with technicians.
• Cooperation with suppliers and specification of required components.
• Visits to customer sites for installation of new equipment and maintenance activities.
• Commissioning of equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Active participation in project development through verification of designed solutions against the final implementation.
• Active participation in the assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and systems.

Tasks:

• Design and development of test bench components, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and HVAC systems (P&ID, 3D modeling, 2D drawings).
