Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join its engineering team in Tychy. The role focuses on Creo Parametric-based 3D modeling and 2D drawings, along with creating technical documentation for low-voltage electrical switchgear and copper components.

The candidate should have a technical college degree in mechanical engineering or related field, strong English (B2), and experience in mechanical design, preferably in electrical equipment or automotive sectors.

Qualifications

• Very good knowledge of Creo Parametric (3D modeling, 2D drawings).
• Experience with technical documentation and BOM structures.
• Knowledge of metalworking technologies, especially copper.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and standards.
• Nice to have: low-voltage switchgear, busbar systems, mass production principles (DFM/DFA).
• Technical college degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience as a mechanical designer; electronics or automotive experience a plus.
• English proficiency at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Modification and updating of 3D models and 2D drawings in the Creo Parametric environment
• Preparation and development of technical documentation for low-voltage electrical switchgear
• Design and adaptation of copper components (busbars, current connections, mounting elements)
• Implementing design changes resulting from cost and production optimization, regulatory requirements (IEC / EN), and needs of manufacturing plants and customers
• Participation in the engineering change process (ECR/ECO)
• Technical support for production rollouts and mass-production changes

Tasks:

• Knowledge of the following is a plus: low-voltage switchgear, busbar systems, design principles for mass production (DFM/DFA)
• Technical college degree (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, materials engineering, or related fields)
• Experience working as a mechanical designer (experience in the electrical equipment or automotive industries is a plus)
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level
