Job summary

ALTEN Polska is hiring an experienced automotive exterior design engineer in Gliwice for a full-time hybrid role. You will design exterior plastic components, create and modify 3D models using CATIA V5 and Siemens NX, and lead design reviews through serial production.

Collaboration with OEMs and suppliers is essential, with a strong focus on GD&T and injection molding. Minimum 7 years’ experience in automotive design, English at B2 level, and a proven track record in coordinating design teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in automotive component design.
• Experience designing automotive exterior parts such as bumpers, grilles, spoilers, or other plastic body components.
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX.
• Practical knowledge of Injection Molding, DFM/DFMA, and plastic part design.
• Experience leading projects or coordinating a design team.
• Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and product development processes.
• Strong customer-facing and technical communication skills.
• Communicative level of English (minimum B2).

• Conduct tolerance analyses, GD&T evaluations, stack-up analyses, and support perceived quality requirements such as gap and flush.
• Support product validation, production launches, and technical issue resolution.
