Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Special Process in Siechnice, Poland, to design and optimize heat exchanger manufacturing processes including welding, brazing, cleaning, and heat treating.

You will lead complex activities for development and maintenance of manufacturing processes for aerospace and industrial heat transfer products. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and 6–8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with welding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering with experience in Welding (TIG welding of Aluminum and Inconel highly desirable) and Vacuum Brazing.
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding and/or brazing of pressure containing products.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as Military, Aerospace, Nuclear or Automotive or other similar.

Responsibilities

• Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness, including determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
• Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
• Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness; including purchasing equipment, materials, or parts and preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
• Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards, including troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
• Develop sustainable manufacturing technologies and analyze the financial impacts of sustainable manufacturing
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
• Develop, document and implement standard work instructions for critical manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to useAItools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
