Job summary

BorgWarner Poland in Rzeszów seeks a Process/Manufacturing Engineer to lead and improve assembly and manufacturing processes, targeting productivity, quality and cost reduction.

The role requires a technical degree and at least 3 years in process/manufacturing engineering, strong English, and ability to read drawings. SAP experience and APQP/IATF16949 familiarity are important. You will implement new technologies and train staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering in production
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings
• Knowledge of MS Office applications including SAP BOMs/routings (SAP a plus)
• Understanding of serial manufacturing and assembly processes (machining, fastening, inspection, equipment)
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies and quality tools
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing automation (CNC, robotics, vision, PLC) is a plus
• Welding technologies knowledge (MIG/MAG, TIG, resistance spot welding, laser welding) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes, focusing on optimization, productivity, quality, and cost reduction
• Implement new products, advanced manufacturing technologies, equipment, and process changes into serial production
• Analyze and resolve production issues using Lean methodologies and structured problem solving (8D, 5 Why, TPM, SMED, scrap reduction)
• Plan, monitor, and control production schedules, capacity utilization, and output performance to meet targets
• Analyze production KPIs and drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Develop and update manufacturing documentation (work instructions, standard work, PFMEA, BOMs, routings, APQP)
• Work with SAP to create and maintain BOMs and production routings
• Participate in internal/external audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949/APQP requirements
• Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and operating standards
