Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Siechnice seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Special Process to plan and design product applications and machinery for weld, braze, clean, and heat treat processes. The role focuses on creating efficient, compliant manufacturing methods for heat exchanger components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering with welding and vacuum brazing.
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding and/or brazing of pressure-containing products.
• Experience in highly regulated industries (Military, Aerospace, Nuclear, Automotive) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Apply lean methods to improve quality, reliability, or cost, using root-cause analysis.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs via fabrication processes and tooling.
• Design testing methods and validate process capabilities.

The Hughes-Treitler Business Unit designs and manufactures state of the art plate-fin heat exchangers, cold plates, condensers, evaporators, and other heat transfer products. We provide custom design and engineering services, to high quality manufacturing standards, for the aircraft, engine and industrial heat exchangers in the mobile/marine/avionics/space and missile markets.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer Special Process, Weld, Braze, Clean, Heat Treat, will plan and design product applications and machinery. The position is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of heat exchanger manufacturing processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness, including determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
• Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
• Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness; including purchasing equipment, materials, or parts and preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
• Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards, including troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
• Develop sustainable manufacturing technologies and analyze the financial impacts of sustainable manufacturing
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
• Develop, document and implement standard work instructions for critical manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to useAItools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering with experience in Welding (TIG welding of Aluminum and Iconel highly desirable) and Vacuum Brazing
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding and/or brazing of pressure containing products.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as, Military, Aerospace, Nuclear or Automotive or other similar.

Salary Range

Salary Range - 160,000 - 220,000 PLN annually
