Job summary

weleap is seeking a Production Process Engineer for an automotive components manufacturing client. You will own end-to-end production design, sourcing machinery and suppliers to meet specifications, price and schedule, wherever in the world this takes you.

After handover to production, you will drive continuous improvement, automation, time studies, layout redesign, and performance gains, while maintaining documentation and training operators.

Qualifications

• University degree.
• Background in Methods & Time studies; stopwatch time-study experience is a strong plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role; 5+ years is ideal.
• Core Tools knowledge (FMEA, SPC) and CAD/AutoCAD are a strong plus.
• Team management skills are a plus.
• Polish fluent (C1). English required; German is a plus.
• Previous experience in the automotive sector is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• When a new design comes in from Engineering, industrialize it end-to-end: design the production process, source suppliers and machinery to hit specs, price and timeline wherever needed.
• Once the process and equipment are handed over to production, shift into continuous improvement: automation, time studies, layout redesign, optimize performance.
• Keep process documentation current (SAP references, process flow charts, layouts, packaging), manage upkeep of production equipment, train operators, and collaborate with Design & Development during new project rollouts.

Our client, a manufacturing company in the automotive components sector isn't looking for someone who just runs the process once it's handed to them . They're looking for someone who builds it: from scratch, sourcing the right machines at the right price wherever they need to come from, and then keeps making it better once it's running. If your idea of a good week involves negotiating with a supplier in China on Monday and redesigning a layout on the shop floor on Friday, keep reading.

What you'll be doing

Your work shifts with the stage of the project you're on.

• When a new design comes in from Engineering, you'll industrialize it end to end: designing the production process, sourcing suppliers and machinery to hit the specs, price and timeline the project needs — wherever in the world that takes you.
• Once the process and equipment are handed over to production, you'll shift into continuous improvement mode: process automation, time studies, layout redesign, and squeezing more performance out of what's already running.
• You'll also keep process documentation current (SAP references, process flow charts, layouts, packaging), manage the upkeep of production equipment, train the operators assigned to your process, and collaborate with Design & Development during new project rollouts.
