Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering team in Denmark. You will own the technical direction, delivery, and health of the team, while growing engineers and partnering with product management and design to deliver reliable software used by pilots and flight operations worldwide.

• Experience with modern software development practices including CI/CD, code review, and automated testing.

About the Role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in Denmark. What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years directly managing engineers.
• A track record of leading teams that consistently deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Strong technical background with the ability to engage credibly in architecture and design discussions.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers at different levels of seniority.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design.
• Sound judgment in balancing technical excellence, delivery timelines, and team wellbeing.
• Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, code review, and automated testing.
• Based in Denmark or willing to work from our Denmark location, with authorization to work in the EU.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing teams in aviation, geospatial, or other safety-critical, data-intensive domains.
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones, particularly spanning Europe and the US.
• Background in front-end, backend, or full-stack engineering prior to moving into management.
• Familiarity with scaling engineering teams and processes during periods of growth.
• Interest in aviation or flight operations.
