Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years directly managing engineers.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Strong architectural and design skills.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers at different levels.
• Excellent communication across engineering, product, and design.
• Experience with modern software development practices including CI/CD, code review, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, providing regular feedback, career development, and performance guidance.
• Own the delivery of your team's roadmap, balancing feature development, quality, and technical debt.
• Partner with product management and design to shape priorities and translate them into achievable engineering plans.
• Set and uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, architecture, and operational excellence.
• Participate in technical decision-making and architectural discussions, staying close to the codebase to guide the team.
• Drive hiring and onboarding to help scale the team as Jeppesen ForeFlight grows its Denmark presence.
• Foster a healthy, inclusive team culture and collaborative working environment.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination to ensure predictable delivery.
• Report on team progress, health, and priorities to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
