Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight, Inc. is seeking a Compute Engineer in Gdańsk for a permanent role with a hybrid pattern. You will design and manage Windows and Linux environments across on-premise, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, owning the full server lifecycle and ensuring high availability.

The role emphasizes automation, security, and collaboration with teams using VMware and modern storage solutions, with a competitive salary and meaningful impact on aviation software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in server administration within an Infrastructure & Operations environment.
• Proficient with Linux, Windows and VMware ESXi.
• Experience working with SAN, NAS, block and cloud storage.
• A strong understanding of security, performance and high availability.
• Experience with scripting/automation using Shell, Python and/or PowerShell.
• Experience across backup, recovery and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes or Docker would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Work across SAN/NAS storage, backups and disaster recovery, helping ensure high availability and business continuity.

• Work with VMware and all-flash storage technologies.
• Help maintain high standards across security, access and compliance.
• Take ownership of complex infrastructure challenges, carrying out root cause analysis and delivering long-term solutions.
• Help shape and maintain the technical documentation that supports the environment.

What you will need:

We’re looking for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and taking ownership.

• 7+ years’ experience in server administration and engineering within an Infrastructure & Operations environment.
• Strong experience across Linux, Windows and VMware ESXi.
• Experience working with SAN, NAS, block and cloud storage.
• A strong understanding of security, performance and high availability.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python and/or PowerShell.
• Experience across backup, recovery and disaster recovery.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes or Docker would be a bonus.
