Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group is seeking a Manager, Payroll Operations – Eastern Europe to lead a growing payroll function in a newly created, senior role. The position is fully remote and covers Poland and the Czech Republic, with regional ownership of end-to-end payroll across multiple countries.

You will mentor a payroll team, partner with internal stakeholders and external providers, and drive process improvements in an asynchronous, international environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' people management experience.
• Extensive experience within regional or international payroll operations.
• Strong payroll knowledge across Poland and/or the Czech Republic.
• Experience managing third-party payroll providers.
• Experience supporting or implementing payroll across multiple countries.
• Strong understanding of international payroll best practice and compliance.
• Fluent English, alongside fluent Polish or Czech.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets and payroll systems experience; SAP exposure is beneficial.
• A proactive approach to process improvement, automation and operational efficiency.
• The ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
• A genuine passion for people management, with a supportive rather than micromanaging leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with international payroll legislation and regulatory changes.
• Support payroll implementation across multiple countries.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and international stakeholders within a highly asynchronous environment.

JGA Recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing global employment technology business with the appointment of a Manager, Payroll Operations – Eastern Europe.

This is a newly created leadership role within the Global Payroll Operations function, offering the opportunity to take ownership of regional payroll operations, lead a team and drive improvements across processes, compliance and third-party provider relationships.

As Manager, Payroll Operations, you will lead the payroll function across Eastern Europe, ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly and efficiently across multiple countries.

The role will have a particular focus on Poland and the Czech Republic, so experience across either or both countries will be highly desirable.

You will provide leadership and mentorship to the payroll team while acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external payroll providers.
