Job summary
UPM in Wroclaw is seeking a Manager, Master Data & Digitalization to lead the Master Data Management (MDM) function and drive digitalization across the global organization. You will manage a team of Solution Owners and Analytics professionals, shaping scalable data management services and partnering with business and IT stakeholders.
You bring a Master’s degree and 7+ years in MDM, data governance or related fields, plus at least 3 years of people leadership in an international setting.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
- 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Digitalization or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial/people leadership experience in an international setting.
- Experience with enterprise platforms and data management tooling.
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own and oversee the MDM solution landscape and lifecycle delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of MDM services.
- Design and implement solution enhancements with IT and business stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into solution requirements and manage delivery.
- Lead development of new digital capabilities and analytics solutions.

We are looking for a Manager, Master Data & Digitalization to join our team in UPM Business Hub Poland in Wroclaw.

As Manager, Master Data & Digitalization, you will lead a team of Solution Owners and Analytics professionals, collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, and help shape scalable, future-ready data management services. - Own and oversee the MDM solution landscape, ensuring service readiness, business continuity, and successful delivery of maintenance and development initiatives across the full lifecycle, from planning and design through implementation, go-live, and hypercare, in collaboration with IT, implementation partners, and other stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of Master Data Management services by identifying opportunities to automate data management processes and enhance service delivery
- Identify, design, and implement solution enhancements and process improvements in close collaboration with Master Data Process Owners, IT, and business stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into solution requirements and ensure effective implementation through collaboration with IT, external partners, and relevant stakeholders
- Explore and evaluate existing and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to improve MDM processes, data quality, operational efficiency, and user experience
- Actively participate in data-related forums, governance bodies, and professional networks, providing solution expertise and promoting best practices in data management
- Lead the development and implementation of new digital capabilities, applications, and analytics solutions supporting Master Data Management objectives
- Lead a team of Solution Owners and Analytics professionals, fostering collaboration, capability development, and synergies across domains to support end-to-end MDM service delivery
- Drive structured demand management and idea-to-delivery processes, including management of Ideas & Opportunities backlogs, ensuring prioritization, transparency, and alignment between business needs and technical execution
- You have master's degree and 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Digitalization, or a related field
- You have minimum 3 years of managerial experience with direct responsibility for people leadership and team development
- You have proven leadership experience in an international business environment
- You have experience driving digital solutions, process improvements, and transformation initiatives
- You have experience working with enterprise platforms and tools supporting Master Data Management and digitalization initiatives, e.g Stibo STEP (Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform) or other Master Data Management system, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps
- You have strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- You are able to collaborate effectively across business, IT, and external partners
- You have strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- You are fluent in English; other languages are considered an asset

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Wrocław.
The position holder will report to Senior Manager, Master Data.
