Job summary

nVent is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor and maintain production equipment, perform machining tasks, and support process improvements across global operations. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, lean practices, and independent problem solving.

The position requires practical welding experience, a technical engineering education, ability to read drawings, and basic English; SEP 1 kV qualification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with cutting and welding technologies used in manufacturing.
• Educational background in mechanical/electrical engineering or automation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches.
• Knowledge of basic electrical engineering and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, standardization, Kanban, TPM).
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Basic English language skills.
• SEP electrical qualifications up to 1 kV are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machines and ensure production continuity with engineers and operators.
• Support manufacturing processes and equipment tasks.
• Participate in projects to reduce losses and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures.
• Maintain and overhaul machines, perform cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Perform basic machining and metalworking tasks (drilling, turning, grinding).
• Resolve day-to-day tooling and equipment issues.
• Support process and equipment improvements.
