Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Lead – Paint Shop Maintenance role in Kraków, Poland. The successful candidate will lead a technically advanced, highly automated paint shop team, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving upgrades and process improvements.

We seek a professional with at least 5 years in technical or maintenance environments, fluent English, and proven leadership abilities to manage cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and suppliers.

Job Description

• Lead and develop the Paint Shop Maintenance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of paint shop equipment, systems, and installations.
• Coordinate activities related to the implementation of new technologies, equipment, and production solutions.
• Support investment projects, equipment commissioning, technical acceptance, and production ramp-up activities.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor maintenance performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Drive technical and organizational improvements within the paint shop area.
• Manage maintenance activities in line with quality, cost, timing, safety, environmental, and operational targets.
• Support change management initiatives and ensure the successful implementation of new solutions.
• Prepare reports, analyze results, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

• At least 5 years of experience in a technical or maintenance environment, preferably within automotive or other high-volume manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in a modern, highly automated industrial paint shop.
• Strong understanding of paint shop processes, technologies, and equipment.
• Previous experience leading technical, maintenance, or operational teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop employees and build high-performing teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in project-driven environments and managing operational change.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
