Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in London to perform reactive and preventive maintenance on automated production machinery within a fully manufacturing environment.

Role requires electrical or mechanical maintenance expertise, strong fault-finding skills, and a hands-on, team-oriented approach. 12-hour day and night shifts, long-term contract, and UK right-to-work are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification - City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing / process / production environment
• Good knowledge of maintaining production or process machinery
• Strong background in either mechanical or electrical maintenance
• Hands-on approach and ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repair (depending on skill set)
• Minimise downtime and support on breakdowns
• Assist with continuous improvement projects
