Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking a Mainframe Operational Support Specialist to join our client-focused team. You will handle incidents, perform problem management, analyze issues, and support mainframe environments with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS and SAS.

The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, OPC/TWS, Abend-AID and File-AID, plus good English. Opportunities to work with DevOps practices and modern mainframe modernization initiatives are available.

Responsibilities

Handle incidents in the mainframe environment and drive their resolution
Perform problem management activities and support root cause analysis
Analyze incidents and identify corrective actions
Monitor system output using SDSF
Browse and investigate datasets using TSO/ISPF
Support defect diagnosis and resolution using Abend-AID and File-AID
Operate and monitor workloads using OPC/TWS
Work with mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS and Base SAS
Adapt to new tools and technologies used within the operational support environment

Mainframe Operational Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

Handle incidents in the mainframe environment and drive their resolution
Perform problem management activities and support root cause analysis
Analyze incidents and identify corrective actions
Monitor system output using SDSF
Browse and investigate datasets using TSO/ISPF
Support defect diagnosis and resolution using Abend-AID and File-AID

Requirements:

Proven experience in Incident Handling and Problem Management

Deep understanding of mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS
Hands-on experience with Base SAS
Practical knowledge of TSO/ISPF and SDSF for dataset browsing and system output monitoring
Experience with OPC/TWS
Experience with Abend-AID for defect investigation and resolution
Experience with File-AID for defect fixing
Ability to learn new tools and adapt to evolving technologies
Proactive approach to problem-solving
Very good command of English, both spoken and written
