Job summary

Diverse CG Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. in Poland seeks a Mainframe Operational Support Specialist to join our team. You will handle incidents in the mainframe environment, drive resolutions, and participate in problem management and root-cause analysis.

You will work with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS, and Base SAS, using TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and OPC/TWS. Strong English skills are required, and the role offers continuous learning in evolving mainframe technologies within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Incident Handling and Problem Management.
• Strong analytical skills for incident analysis and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS.
• Hands-on experience with Base SAS.
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Nice to have: knowledge of REXX scripting, Shell scripting, Python, DevOps, Agile, cloud/mainframe modernization.

Responsibilities

• Handle incidents in the mainframe environment and drive their resolution
• Perform problem management activities and support root cause analysis
• Analyze incidents and identify corrective actions
• Monitor system output using SDSF
• Browse and investigate datasets using TSO/ISPF
• Support defect diagnosis and resolution using Abend-AID and File-AID
• Operate and monitor workloads using OPC/TWS
• Work with mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS and Base SAS
• Adapt to new tools and technologies used within the operational support environment
