Job summary

Alstom in Chorzów is seeking a full-time Line Manager to oversee production in your area and ensure meeting deadlines while driving continuous improvement. You will lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with EPU managers, production planners, and QA teams to optimize processes.

You’ll apply APSYS and Lean manufacturing principles, monitor key metrics, and foster a safe, collaborative work environment. This role offers a path toward leadership and technical specialization within the company.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of production planning and organization.
  • Familiarity with key production metrics and their analysis.
  • Communicative English and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage and lead a subordinate team effectively.
  • Knowledge of labor law, particularly regarding working time calculation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the production process in your area.
  • Supervise the production line and EPU managers and their teams.
  • Organize and manage the production plan to meet deadlines.
  • Continuously improve production processes using APSYS and Lean tools.
  • Ensure safety on the production line and cooperate with support functions.

Your future role

You're playing a key role in driving operational excellence and fostering a safe, collaborative work environment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (EPU managers, production planners, and quality assurance teams), manage and optimize the production process according to plan, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production standards—and much more.

We’ll look to you for:
  • managing and coordinating production process in your area,
  • supervising production line and work of EPU managers and their teams,
  • organize and manage the production plan, ensuring deadlines are met,
  • continuously improve production process, using APSYS and Lean manufacturing tools,
  • resolving issues arising on the line during the process,
  • ensuring safety on the production line, and collaborating with support functions,
