Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Lead Ruby Developer to join a collaborative team in a hybrid role across Poland. You will lead design and development of scalable Ruby/Rails applications, optimize PostgreSQL queries, and implement robust testing practices with RSpec and TDD/BDD.

Strong leadership, communication, and English skills are essential for guiding a growing team. Responsibilities include driving technical direction, mentoring peers, and maintaining high performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Ruby development experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in people management or team leadership.
• Experience with Docker for containerization.
• Familiarity with Redis for caching or real-time processing.
• Exposure to ClickHouse for analytics or event logging.
• Frontend basics with JavaScript and a modern framework.
• Experience with Sidekiq or RabbitMQ for background jobs.
• Understanding CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) at B2+ level.

• Lead design and development of scalable web apps using Ruby/Rails.
• Apply SQL expertise in PostgreSQL for efficient data management.
