Job summary

Vention in Wroclaw, Poland, seeks a Ruby software developer for a hybrid, full-time role. You will contribute to scalable, production-ready code and participate in the full software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate in Scrum ceremonies, write tests, review code, support estimation, and stay current with AI tools and cloud platforms. English communication with clients is expected, and mentoring may be available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on Ruby software development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Vue.js or React.
• Experience with RSpec and Cucumber.
• English at B2 level or higher for client communication.
• Experience with AI tools for agentic development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of scalable solutions with production-ready code.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including business logic and feature implementation.
• Collaborate with your team through Scrum ceremonies and knowledge-sharing events.
• Support project estimation and planning to align development with goals.
• Conduct code reviews and write automated tests for reliability.
• Work on continuous technology integration to keep the stack up to date.
• Optionally mentor, participate in technical interviews, or share knowledge at dev meetups.
