ABB in Poland (Bielsko-Biała) seeks an experienced Purchasing and Supply Chain professional to lead supplier development for the LVS business. You will build a local supplier base, run strategic purchasing activities and drive cost, quality and delivery improvements.

You will collaborate with project management, engineering, logistics and global sourcing teams; travel frequently and work in a hybrid model. Fluency in Polish and English is required.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP in sourcing or purchasing processes.
• Fluent in Polish and English.
• Experience in supplier development.
• Analytical, proactive and independent.
• Willingness to travel frequently and hold a category B driving licence.
• ABB experience and team management is an advantage.

You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.The work model for the role is: hybrid – a minimum of 3 days per week in the office in Bielsko-Biała, plus supplier and EWB visits as needed. #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Low Voltage Systems (LVS) business of ABB Electrification, Smart Power, in Poland – the MNS low-voltage switchgear business in Bielsko-Biała. Your main focus will be the local supply base, mainly (but not only) our external workbenches (EWB) – local panel builders – and the development of local suppliers in cooperation with other related functions. Main stakeholders are project management, engineering, logistics and quality teams in Bielsko-Biała, the global sourcing team, the sourcing team in Bulgaria, and external suppliers.You will be mainly accountable for:• Building and developing a supplier base for our external workbench (EWB) model – primarily local panel builders and suppliers in Poland, but also from other countries where it makes business sense – through sourcing and supplier development plans, to reach business targets.• Executing purchasing activities for the MNS business, optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products, and resolving cost, quality and delivery issues.• Collecting, tracking and reporting procurement and supplier performance KPIs, and implementing related improvement actions, following ABB standards.• Coordinating with the global sourcing team and the sourcing team in Bulgaria and applying ABB procurement standards, tools and processes to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic and collaborative team in Bielsko-Biała, where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications for the role• You have 8+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, ideally in industrial manufacturing.• You have hands-on, proven experience with SAP in sourcing or purchasing processes.• You are fluent in Polish and English, both spoken and written.• You have experience in supplier development and in working with local suppliers or subcontractors, ideally electrical panel builders or contract manufacturers.• You are analytical, proactive and independent, comfortable collecting, analyzing and reporting KPIs, and you communicate effectively across teams, sites and countries.• You are ready for frequent business travel and hold a valid category B driving licence, allowing you to drive company pool cars for business trips.• Previous experience at ABB and in managing a small or medium-sized team is an advantage.Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
