Job summary

Grid Dynamics seeks a Principal Physics Simulation Engineer to help build an AI-first simulation platform on NVIDIA technologies for a global heavy-equipment client. You will own fidelity of physical behavior across the platform and guide teams to model machines and terrain interactions.

You will validate simulations against real data, set fidelity standards, and provide technical leadership in physics modeling, trade-offs between fidelity and performance, and cross-functional collaboration

• Principal-level expertise in high-fidelity physics-based simulation.

Responsibilities

• Own physics fidelity across a greenfield simulation platform built on NVIDIA stack.
• Model machines, actuators and terrain interaction in PhysX.
• Define and run validation comparing simulated behavior with real machine data.
• Set fidelity metrics and acceptance thresholds.
• Provide technical leadership guiding engineers on physics modeling and performance trade-offs.
