Job summary

11 bit studios S.A in Warsaw is seeking a seasoned Lead Designer to shape core gameplay and drive design direction across our titles. You will mentor designers, own design pillars, and collaborate with directors to realize the game vision.

The role requires 8+ years in game design, combat design experience, and proven ability to manage a design team in a hybrid Warsaw office. Fluency in Polish and English (B2+) is expected, as is strong documentation and communication.

Qualifications

• Lead Designer or Design Director experience.
• 8+ years in game design (gameplay and/or systems).
• Experience with combat design.
• Experience and very good skills in managing a design team.
• Ability to work in hybrid model in our office in Warsaw.
• Experience with working on indie/AA and understand their limitations, capabilities and advantages.
• Knowledge of both Polish and English at B2 level or above.
• Ability to write good project documentation.
• Ability to define technical requirements.
• Ability to work within time and project constraints.
• Very good communication skills.
• Passion about games - you’re still playing in your free time and keep up to date with our industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Directors to define gameplay pillars that best realize the game vision.
• Collaborate with other domain Leads to develop concrete, actionable solutions for challenges presented by the development process.
• Lead a team of designers, providing mentoring and feedback.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop key foundational systems.
• Providing feedback to the overall gameplay, combat, systems, story and level design.
