Job summary

11 bit studios in Warsaw is seeking a Lead Designer to shape the vision across gameplay pillars and systems. You will mentor a team of designers and collaborate with Directors to solve complex development challenges while driving core mechanics and level design.

The role requires 8+ years in game design, strong combat design experience, and proven leadership in a hybrid office setting in Warsaw. English and Polish proficiency (B2) is expected, with a passion for games and proactive documentation

Qualifications

• Lead Designer or Design Director experience.
• 8+ years in game design (gameplay or systems).
• Experience with combat design.
• Experience managing a design team.
• Ability to work in hybrid mode in our office in Warsaw.
• Experience with indie/AA projects and understanding their limitations and advantages.
• Polish and English at B2 level or above.
• Ability to write good project documentation.
• Ability to define technical requirements.
• Ability to work within time and project constraints.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion about games.

• Experience as Lead Designer or Design Director
• 8+ years of experience in game design (gameplay and/or systems)
• Experience with combat design
• Experience and very good skills in managing a design team
• Ability to work in hybrid model in our office in Warsaw
• Experience with working on indie/AA and understanding their limitations, capabilities and advantages
• Knowledge of both Polish and English at B2 level or above
• Ability to write good project documentation
• Ability to define technical requirements
• Ability to work within time and project constraints
• Very good communication skills
• Passion about games – you’re still playing in your free time and keep up to date with the industry
