N-iX is seeking a Lead DevOps / Observability Engineer to drive the migration of the client's observability stack from New Relic and Datadog to Grafana. You will design the target architecture with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo, and implement IaC with Terraform on AWS, EKS, and Docker.

The role blends devops, instrumentation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure full monitoring coverage. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, audit dashboards, and contribute to CI/CD

Qualifications

• Experience with Grafana dashboards, alerting, and data source configuration (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo).
• Experience migrating from New Relic/Datadog to Grafana or similar observability stacks.
• Full-stack visibility, instrumenting apps across front-end and back-end.
• Production AWS experience with EKS and Kubernetes.
• Containerized workloads with Docker; IaC with Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions; automation focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of monitoring, alerts, and dashboards to Grafana.
• Design and implement target observability architecture (metrics, logs, traces).
• Build infrastructure-as-code to support the new stack.
• Audit existing dashboards/alerts for parity and coverage.
• Modify application code for instrumentation (metrics/logging/tracing).
• Operate the observability tooling on AWS (VPCs, IAM, security groups).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Coordinate cutover with multiple teams to minimize disruption.
