Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to scale operations from small teams to large, cross-functional projects. You will design infrastructure, standardize CI/CD, and drive microservices deployment while coordinating across teams.

The role starts with extensive travel during the first 2–3 months and then becomes fully remote. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in DevOps, deep Kubernetes/Helm/Jenkins expertise, and strong UML diagramming skills to communicate complex workflows.

• 6+ years of DevOps experience.
• High-level expertise in Kubernetes, Helm and Jenkins.
• Strong CI experience with KPIs and automated code quality checks.

Requirements

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to help our teams move from small setups to large-scale projects. This role is about more than just tools; it is about building complex systems and helping different teams work together effectively.

• Experience: At least 6 years working as a DevOps.
• Key Tools: High-level expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and Jenkins.
• CI Knowledge: Strong experience with Continuous Integration, including setting up KPIs and automated code quality checks.
• Architecture: Familiarity with microservices and how to build systems that scale.
• Soft Skills: Ability to handle complex team dynamics and lead people through change.
• Modeling: Ability to create clear diagrams (like UML) to show how technical processes work.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively during the first2–3 months, with the role becoming fully remoteafterward.

Job Responsibilities

• Build Large Systems: Design and manage the infrastructure as we move from small teams to full-scale projects.
• Manage Helm: Create and maintain a system for sharing Helm charts across different teams.
