Job summary

FEV Polska sp. z.o.o. in Poland seeks a Senior Lead Design Engineer to drive ICE engine component design and coordinate a small design team. You will work closely with simulation experts and ensure high-quality delivery across interfaces.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills (CATIA, 3DExperience, Creo, NX) and experience leading designers. Competitive salary and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduated engineer (MSc) in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years in mechanical engineering positions.
• At least 5 years in ICE engine design with independent component development.
• Deep background of ICE system requirements incl. NVH, durability, lubrication, thermal aspects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ICE engine components with collaboration from simulation experts.
• CAD design in Catia/3DExperience/Creo/NX.
• Lead two to three designers in project or team.
• Define and manage technical requirements and interfaces across systems.
• Design, analyze and report test results for performance and reliability.
• Lead resolution of complex integration issues during design, prototyping, testing.

Qualification

• Graduated engineer (MSc) in mechanical engineering or equivalent with minimum of 8 years of professional career in mechanical engineering position
• At least 5 years of professional experience in ICE engine design, capable of independently designing and developing engine component groups
• Deep background of ICE system requirements, including NVH, durability, lubrication, and thermal aspects, with experience in related test procedures and practical application
• Strong knowledge of design principles beyond CAD, including DFM/DFA, D-FMEA, and ETRS
• Excellent design skills 2D and 3D (such as: Catia, 3DExperience, Creo, NX..)
• Good knowledge PLM system release processes and global product development cycles
• Ability to present projects to customers ensuring continuity and high-quality project delivery
• Ability to handle task by holistic approach and take responsibility for the result of this task
• Proactive mindset, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Very good command of English both written and spoken (German would be advantage)
• If you feel generally capable for the task but cannot fulfil certain listed items, we are open to evaluate and compromise

Tasks

• Design and develop ICE engine's component group with tight collaboration with simulation experts
• Mechanical design in CAD systems (e.g. Catia, 3DExperience, Creo, NX...)
• Lead of two to three designers in the project and/or dedicated team
• Define and manage a key technical requirements & interface specification across systems
• Design, analyze and report results of product status, performance, safety, and reliability tests to key Members
• Lead resolution of complex integration issues discovered during design, prototyping, and testing fazes
• Execute activities like reporting, supplier management, DFM, DFA, ETRS etc
• Monitor project/ task deliverables, customer relation, and work output qualit
