Job summary

Joyteractive, a leading mobile game developer, seeks an experienced Art Director for the Picture Blast Solitaire team. You will shape visuals, UX and game feel, collaborating closely with the product team to define an engaging player experience.

You will pilot the art direction for mobile puzzle titles, lead an in-house art team, and drive visual fidelity across features, art assets and style guides, including A/B testing variants.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in game development as an Art Director or Art Lead.
• Experience with mobile casual projects where visuals and game feel are key.
• Experience with a LiveOps product.
• A portfolio showing responsibility for project visuals.
• Deep expertise in 2D art, UI/UX and mobile game feel.
• Experience leading an art team and hiring artists.
• Experience setting tasks for mobile UI/UX and readability on small screens.
• Understanding of animation and VFX production and Unity integration.
• Understanding of current AI tools for art.
• Knowledge of mobile device constraints.
• Experience working in a product team with producers, game design and development.

Responsibilities

• Review current visuals and UX and plan improvements.
• Improve game feel with animations and responsive feedback.
• Create and maintain the game's style guide.
• Develop visual style and prepare variants for A/B tests.
• Lead the art team: assign tasks, review work, provide feedback.
• Set tasks for UX flows and interfaces.
• Set tasks for animations and VFX and review build results.
• Contribute to new feature concept visuals and integration.
• Review and approve all visual assets before release.
• Check visuals in builds on devices and set fixes for devs.
