Job summary

SoftServe is seeking an IT support specialist to maintain laboratory infrastructure, manage hardware and network equipment, and ensure reliable operation of office and testing environments.

You will perform hands‑on support, troubleshoot hardware, administer lab servers, and coordinate logistics for equipment across testing and development spaces. This role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and collaboration with engineering teams and management.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Ethernet and Wi‑Fi technologies, including switches and cabling.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Hands‑on system administration and troubleshooting tasks.
• Basic knowledge of remote administration tools such as SSH and RDP.
• Understanding of storage concepts, virtualization, and containers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage laboratory and conference room equipment.
• Recover and repair malfunctioning hardware used in testing.
• Administer laboratory servers and allocate resources.
• Manage office network infrastructure for stable connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network issues with switches and access points.
• Service and replace accessories in hot desks and shared spaces.
• Coordinate logistics for receiving, packing, and shipping equipment.
• Collaborate with building management to support office infra.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and assets.
• Support continuous improvement of laboratory operations.
