Job summary

UL Solutions in Poland seeks a Software Implementation Consultant to join our Configuration group. You will support and configure our Wire and Cable software, focusing on UI-based configuration and SQL/XML tasks, while building strong customer relationships.

The role is hybrid, based in Warsaw with flexibility to collaborate across Europe. Strong English and either French or German are required, plus 2+ years in software implementation or support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years commercial experience in software implementation or support.
• Degree-level or equivalent in CS, engineering, sustainability, or related field.
• Strong English communication; fluency in French or German is required for EMEA.
• Excellent numeracy and Excel skills; detail-oriented.
• Able to learn new software rapidly; strong customer-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to existing clients including report generation at critical times.
• Advise and assist the client in maintaining and enhancing their application.
• Configure the system via the UI per requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues.
• Attend customer meetings and maintain professional image.
• Provide status updates and highlight risks to supervisor.
• Serve as main contact for key customers.

This exciting role as a Software Implementation consultant in our Configuration group will work as part of a team to support and configure our Wire and Cable software for our customers.

This role focuses on:

• UI based configuration elements of the Implementation
• More technical elements of the Implementation which will require knowledge of SQL, JavaScript and authoring of data collection forms using XML
• Supporting our customers and relationship building

This hybrid role can be based from any of our offices in Barcelona (Spain), Frankfurt (Germany), Warsaw (Poland) or Saclay (France), offering the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across an international environment.

We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent English skills, combined with fluency in either French or German. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the EMEA region and contribute to a dynamic, multicultural team.

Responsibilities

Consultancy and Configuration

• Provide support to existing clients including report generation at critical times of the year
• Advise and assist the client in maintaining and enhancing their application
• Configure the system as per the defined requirements using the system user interface
• Work with technical teams to resolve system and configuration issues
• Attend customer meetings and calls as and when required in support of larger implementation project, ensuring a professional image at all times
• Provide status updates, highlight risks and issues to supervisor (within the project and/or people manager)

Dedicated Consultancy:

• Advise and assist the client in maintaining and enhancing their application
• Serve as the main point of contact for key customers

Techincal Configuration:

• Build and maintain custom forms using XML/SQL build scripts

Qualifications

Skills Required/Desired:

• Minimum commercial experience of 2 years. Experience in software implementation and / or support, a plus.
• Strong academic background in a relevant discipline e.g. computer science, engineering, sustainability or equivalent also a plus.
• The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills in English are essential, together with fluency in either French or German to support collaboration across the EMEA region.

Required skills, knowledge and characteristics based on responsibilities:

• A high level of numeracy
• Strong working knowledge of Excel required
• Detail-oriented and analytical thinking
• Familiarity with web-based applications
• Ability to learn new software applications rapidly
• Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills as this is a customer-facing role
• Previous experience working in teams for project delivery, a plus
• Previous experience in a customer facing role, a plus

Techincal Configuration:

• Experience with relational databases and use of SQL
• Working knowledge of XML is ideal

Total Rewards: We understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career. Salary range varies by location and local market conditions - for Poland only: the annual salary range for this position is 100,000-130,000 PLN gross - and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for additional incentive with a target payout of 10% of base salary.
