Job summary

Thinkproject is seeking a Solution Specialist to support clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. The role focuses on configuring the application, implementing tailored technical solutions, and ensuring project success.

You will work closely with consulting teams, document procedures, and resolve complex issues while contributing to solution design and quality assurance. Fluency in German and English is mandatory; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory, French is a plus.
• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle.
• Scripting: PowerShell.
• Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, IIS, COM+, etc.
• XML proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install the application to align with customer requirements.
• Implement tailored technical solutions for customer needs.
• Test and document procedures to ensure quality assurance.
• Track and resolve customer issues, collaborate with development teams for quick solutions.
• Support solution design with the responsible Consultant to meet requirements.
• Modify and troubleshoot solutions during projects.
• Act as a technical resource for Consulting teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Handle complex support requests with the teams.

What your day will look like

The Solution Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and project success by supporting clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. They contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions that meet customer requirements and drive efficiency and productivity.

Main Responsibilities

• Application configuration and installation: Configure the application (data model, modules, settings, etc.) and manage the installation process to ensure it aligns with customer requirements.
• Implementation of technical solutions: Implement tailored technical solutions according to customer needs and specifications.
• Testing and quality assurance: Test the customized solutions from a user’s perspective and document the testing procedures to ensure thorough quality assurance.
• Issue tracking and solution improvement: Track, document, and manage customer issues, work with development teams to find quick solutions, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the solution’s quality.
• Support in solution design: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to help design customized technical solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
• Solution modification and troubleshooting: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to make necessary changes and extensions to the implemented solutions, addressing any issues that arise during the project.
• Technical advisor for consulting teams: Act as a key technical resource for the Consulting teams, providing valuable insights and expertise and support them.
• Technical documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the project and ensures a clear record of processes and decisions.
• Complex support resolution: Handle and resolve complex support requests in collaboration with the support teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

What you need to fulfill the role

• Fluent German and English Language skills are mandatory – French highly appreciated.
• Prerequisite:

• Aptitude and ability to understand and configure software solutions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document procedures accurately.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the field of solution implementation and support.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with construction industry processes and terminology is a plus.
